Welcome to Himachali Match ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), a matrimony discovery service for the Himachali community, available via our mobile application and website. By creating an account or otherwise using Himachali Match, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules.

1. Eligibility - Male candidates must be at least **21 years of age**; female candidates must be at least **18 years of age**, matching the minimum legal marriageable age under Indian law. - You must be legally competent to enter into a matrimonial alliance under the personal law applicable to you. - Himachali Match is intended for individuals seeking matrimony within, or with a connection to, Himachal Pradesh and the Himachali community. We reserve the right to decline or remove registrations that fall outside this purpose. - A profile may be created by the candidate themselves or, with the candidate's knowledge and consent, by an immediate family member ("Profile Created For" — Self / Parent / Sibling / Relative). Whoever creates the profile is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered.

2. Account Registration & Security - Registration requires a valid mobile number, verified via OTP. You are responsible for keeping this number, and any device/MPIN you set up, secure. - One account per candidate. Creating duplicate accounts for the same person, or an account impersonating someone else, is prohibited. - You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Profile Content, Accuracy & Verification - You agree to provide information — name, date of birth, education, profession, family background, photographs, horoscope details, and similar — that is truthful and current, and to update it if it materially changes. - Misrepresenting age, marital status, education, profession, or any material fact is a serious violation and grounds for immediate suspension or termination, without refund of any subscription fees paid. - Uploading a government ID for identity verification is optional and, where completed, only confirms the identity details reviewed by our moderation team — it is not a guarantee or endorsement of a candidate's overall background, character, or suitability. Users and their families are strongly encouraged to conduct their own independent due diligence before any marriage decision. - Photographs must be genuine images of the candidate. Stock photos, photos of another person, or heavily altered images may be rejected during moderation or removed later if identified.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments - Himachali Match offers a free tier and one or more paid subscription plans with additional features (e.g., unlocking phone numbers of other members, higher proposal limits, priority visibility). Current plan features and pricing are shown in the app at the time of purchase. - Payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway partner(s); we do not store your full card or UPI credentials. - See our separate **Refund & Cancellation Policy** for how billing disputes and refund requests are handled.

5. Prohibited Conduct Using Himachali Match, you agree **not** to: - Use the Platform for commercial solicitation, matrimonial bureau advertising, dating, escort services, or any purpose other than a genuine matrimonial search. - Demand or offer dowry, or solicit money, loans, or gifts from another user or their family — this is both a Platform violation and, where applicable, an offense under Indian law (Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961). - Harass, threaten, defame, or send unsolicited or abusive communication to any other user. - Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute other users' profile data, photos, or contact information outside the Platform. - Circumvent moderation, verification, or payment mechanisms, or use automated tools (bots) to interact with the Platform.

6. Moderation & Enforcement We reserve the right to review, edit rejection reasons for, or remove any profile content, and to suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion, where we reasonably believe these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law have been violated. Depending on severity, this may happen without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property The Himachali Match name, logo, app design, and underlying software are our property or that of our licensors. You retain ownership of the content (photos, bio, profile details) you upload, but grant us a limited license to display it on the Platform to other users as intended by the Platform's features and your own privacy settings.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability Himachali Match is an introductory discovery platform that helps candidates and families find and communicate with potential matches. We do not guarantee any marriage outcome, the accuracy of information provided by other users, or the character or background of any candidate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Himachali Match and its team are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from interactions, meetings, or marriages resulting from use of the Platform. Users are advised to independently verify all material facts before proceeding with any relationship.

9. Termination You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time via the app's Settings or by contacting us (see our Contact Us & Grievance Officer page). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

10. Governing Law & Grievance Redressal These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from use of the Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Himachal Pradesh. For grievances, see our **Contact Us & Grievance Officer Disclosures** page, published in accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

11. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our features, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be highlighted in the app, and continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
